Geology Alumni making news in New Zealand

Mark Quigley, BSc 1999 was awarded the Prime Minister’s Science Media Communication Prize for 2011 for his “trustworthy commentary on the Christchurch earthquakes”.

Cornel de Ronde, Ph.D. 1991 was awarded the same prize in 2010 for his “ability to communicate the wonders and mysteries of the work he does as a Principal Scientist”
