CGCS Graduate Awards
To enhance the educational experience of graduate students involved in global change science (this includes students from the Geology Department) at the University of Toronto, the Centre for Global Change Science offers a “Graduate Student Research Award” program. These awards are made on a competitive basis to graduate students at the University of Toronto for projects that broaden the students' research experience in a manner not possible within the scope of their current degree program. Examples of activities that could be funded include, but are not limited to: attendance at specialized summer schools, short-term visits to research groups outside UofT, projects that foster new interdisciplinary relationships between research groups from different departments at UofT, field work, attendance at scientific conferences that would not normally be sponsored by the research supervisor.
