Summer assistantship opportunity in structural geology
Summer assistantship in structural geology (2012): Call for applications
Together with a geological assistant, Professor W.M. (Fried) Schwerdtner expects to continue his field-based geological research in the summer months of 2012. For details about field mapping and research objectives, please visit the website of the Department of Geology http://www.geology.utoronto.ca, and read the paragraphs outlining Fried’s research interests. The salary formula of the Ontario Geological Survey will be employed in determining the amount of weekly pay for the assistant.
The starting date of the assistantship is flexible, but should be earlier than June 20, 2012. Because of budget uncertainties, the guaranteed minimum length of summer employment will be six weeks. During the university session, the assistant will have opportunities to aid in the computer-based data processing or map making (typically 4-6 hrs. per week), and is normally paid by the hour. Please send inquiries and/or your informal application, including a personal résumé, to fried.schwerdtner@utoronto.ca, prior to March 1.
