Dennis attended Carleton University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Theoretical Physics and a minor in Geology in 1987. Between 1989 and 1991 Dennis completed the qualifying and graduate courses in applied geophysics at Ecole Polytechnique , University of Montreal. In 2001 Dennis obtained his P.Geo. and is a member of Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) and the Engineering and Environmental Geophysics Society(EEGS). Between the periods of 1980 and 1991 Dennis worked as a contractor for a variety of surveying and mineral exploration companies conducting legal, geodetic control, grid layout and magnetic and electromagnetic surveys. From 1991 to 1993 Dennis worked with Quantec conducting TEM surveys. From 1993 to 1998 Dennis worked with Geoterrex conducting a variety of surveys including TEM, magnetic, HLEM, IP and Gravity for both the mineral exploration and environmental community. In 1998 Dennis formed Gamble Geophysics and Technical Services which concentrated on environmental and geotechnical projects across eastern Ontario. This eventually resulted in a significant amount of UXO work for NOTRA Inc. In 2007, Dennis became Senior Geophysicist and Partner with NOTRA.
